Working Structure Fire In The 49-3 Box |
| Thu, Jun 3rd, 2010 2:00:00 am -
Just after crews finished up with a residential automatic alarm in the 456-3 box, Dauphin County Communications dispatched reported smoke in a structure in the 49-3 box. Shortly after Chief 49 and Captain 49 went responding, PD arrived on scene and advised they had a working structure fire. Truck 456 arrived on scene to the rear of the structure and used several ground ladders on side Charlie of the building. Due to the layout of the structure, and multiple overhead lines, laddering the rear of the structure was a challenge. Engine 456 was added onto the box to assist at the scene with man power. The Engine crew assisted the Truck crew with Positive Pressure Ventilation and also checked the exposure building to check for any additional extension. Thanks to Cumberland County Truck 10 for standing by while both crews were committed on the scene. |
