Working Structure Fire In The 41 Box |
| Tue, Feb 9th, 2010 10:00:00 am -
This morning after crews had returned from an odor of smoke in Grayson View Manor, the call was dispatched for a structure fire in the 41-1 Box. Immediately calls to Dauphin County Communications confirmed of a working structure fire. Truck 456 arrived on scene and staged on High Street initially and was then rerouted to the alley way behind the structure. The 456 Truck crew immediately went to work to assist Engine 44 who was working on Truck Operations on the roof. Crews assisted on the roof for a short period of time before being re-directed to assist in exterior overhaul operations on Side Bravo / Charlie. Firefighter (J. Faleshock) assisted in removing large amounts of firewood from underneath the porch area while the rest of the crew assisted with removing siding from the house on Side Charlie. After completing exterior overhaul, the Truck crew assisted in doing some salvage work to the basement area of the house. The 2 Salvage Vacs were utilized to remove some of the water. Truck 32 took care of the salvage work to the Charlie / Delta Side bedroom windows to prevent the pending snow from blowing in. Crews remained on scene until released by Command 41 ( Chief Robbinson). |
