Training Burn At "The Dump"

Sat, Jan 16th, 2010 11:00:00 am - This morning after assisting Chief 49-1 (Jacobs) with a light detail at Station 49 with the Tower Truck, members headed over to the Township Landfill Facility, also known as "The Dump".   to do some training burns.  Under the direct supervision of Chief 456, crews stoked up several piles of debris and practiced hand line advancement , nozzle patters, minor overhaul operations, and some pump training.  Approximately 10 members came out to participate in the training.  While burning, we were visited by Swatara's Finest (Patrolman Wolford, Chief 36-2) to verify we were burning safely.  Thanks Justin for checking in and for all your assistance you provide to the 456 Boys.
