Fatal Crash With Ejection On Paxton Street

Mon, Mar 1st, 2010 11:01:00 pm - Tonight crews received a call for an MVA with injuries.  Updated information from Dauphin County Communications reported an accident involving a vehicle which had traveled up an embankment and rolled over with serious injuries.  Additional updated information state that there was possible ejection and possibly a Signal 12 involved.  Engine 456 and Rescue 44 were on the initial dispatch along with EMS.   EMS arrived on scene and confirmed a Signal 12 of one patient.  Engine 456 and Rescue 44 arrived on scene and confirmed the same.  Swatara Police requested the assistance of the Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team (DCART).  Units remained on scene for several hours providing lighting for the investigation.  Penn Dot was also called in to assist to prevent icy road conditions from snow being tracked onto the roadway from overturned vehicle.  Our condolences to the family and friends of the driver.
