Accountability Committee Meets In Derry Township

Wed, May 26th, 2010 11:35:00 am - Tonight members loaded onto Truck 456 and took a ride into Derry Township to do some training.  The members were testing an accountability system that was being looked at by several of the area's local chiefs.  The chiefs are part of an accountability committee , headed by Chief 456-1 (Orth), that has been working together for the past several months to look at several different accountability systems and working on a county wide SOG that will require all staff on the scene of an incident to be accounted for.  This system is going to be utilized in conjunction with the county's new radio system.  This has been a work in progress by the committee and tonight one of the systems was put to test.  Thanks to everyone that came out to try the system and for all of your input.
